Our NPO has been selected for the 7-Eleven Memorial Foundation's 2024 Environmental Citizen Activities Grant. Starting in April, the activities will mainly involve environmental conservation in the village surrounding the future Yakushima Sidotti Memorial Museum and holding experiential environmental learning.
Yakushima tends to be focused only on the nature of the sea and mountains, but the village, where people and nature have created a symbiotic space, has a history of activities that follow the axis of time, and the interaction between people and people, as seen in the Sidotti Incident hold memories of historical events that compile encounters. We would like to create a place that connects learning and conservation of the village environment that can be passed down to the next generation.
