Sidotti landing site

There are various opinions about the place where Sidotti landed, but Arai Hakuseki's "Seiyo Kibun" and the document of "Round trip from Manila to Japan" based on the records of the captain of the ship "Santa Trinidad" carrying Sidotti. (Published in Rome, 1718) and from the views of Father Contarini`s many years of research, it seems almost certain that it is a sandy beach in the cove of Senbagaura, the southern tip of Yakushima. The point is under the steep cliff, which is a straight walk from the Koidomari bus stop toward the sea, and you can see Mt.Mimi from there.
