Fall 2022: Preparation for site construction with heavy machinery,
surveying, approach maintenance from the road,
Infrastructure development such as septic tank, water,
electricity, etc. started
January 2023: Construction design start
May 2023: Foundation work started
September 2023: Start of construction of the main body
Fall 2024: Complete and open the Museum
About the building after completion
The construction site is loaned from the Catholic Kagoshima Diocese by the NPO Yakushima Future Works "Yakushima Sidotti Memorial Museum Establishment Committee". The operating entity after completion will be the NPO Yakushima Future Works.
