The observation deck above the entrance has been completed. Enjoy a 360-degree view stretching from the sea and up to the mountains.

From the observation deck above the entrance, a full 360-degree vista opens up — the ocean, the surrounding rural landscape, the mountains, and the sky.

We are confident that visitors will truly enjoy this experience.

As we work toward the Grand Opening on Sunday, May 24, we will now be moving into the interior finishing and furniture production for the gallery, café, and kitchen.

Early one morning, a beautiful rainbow appeared, arching around the observation deck. It felt as though the nature of Yakushima was offering its blessing on the voyage of the "Yakushima Sidotti Memorial Museum."

In the front garden, around Sidotti Plaza, Director Ueyama of Yakushima Soushien has been planting seedlings of Yakushima's endemic and native species. We can hardly wait to watch the seedlings grow, imagining the various colors of flowers that will bloom with each changing season. Please look forward to it!
