Following the symposium “Giovanni Battista Sidotti and Japan” held at the Italy Pavilion of Expo 2025 on September 29, we departed for Kobe the next morning with the exhibits to launch our traveling exhibition.

The first event took place at the Learning Commons on the first floor of the university library at Kobe Kaisei Women’s University, featuring an exhibition and two lectures by Tomoko Furui—one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

The morning session, held in Classroom 3304 of the Library Building, welcomed about 100 members of the general public, while the afternoon session gathered approximately 400 first- and second-year high school students and their parents. In both sessions, Ms. Furui spoke about the life of Father Sidotti.

The exhibition will remain open until Thursday, October 9.
