Sunflower seeds were sown in the rice field in front of the site.

Sunflowers bloom in the rice fields around the “Yakushima Sidotti Memorial Museum” site from November to December every year, pleasing the eyes of visitors.

This year, we borrowed Mayor Koshima's rice field in front of the grounds, and sowed 5kg of sunflower seeds. We hope that the surrounding scenery will be dyed yellow around the time of the Sidotti Yakushima Landing Festival on November 23rd.
