The first promotion meeting for Kagoshima Prefecture's commissioned project was held at the NPO office.
The “Project to disseminate and raise awareness of Sidotti's achievements in spreading Western culture'' includes producing and distributing a booklet that describes Sidotti's relationship with Yakushima, holding on-site classes at elementary, junior high, and high schools, holding lectures and panel exhibitions, and We will spend this year conducting eco-tour planning training and holding tours in the Koshima ward.
The purpose is to utilize Sidotti's landing site as a tourist resource and to spread awareness of his life and achievements, create a place for exchange, and pass it on to the next generation.
Kagoshima Prefecture gave us the good opportunity to let more people know about Sidotti.
