世界でひとつの衣が生まれる！ 「ふくふくペインティング」の最終日を迎えました。A One-of-a-Kind Garment Is Born!"Fuku-Fuku Painting" Reaches Its Final Day

記念館のカフェギャラリーにて、「いのちの雫」展を開催中の向井昌子さんが、シドッティひろばの一画、いつも気持ちのいい風が流れる南洋杉の下で、「ふくふくペインティング」を開催されてきましたが、10月10日で最終日を迎えました。参加者が持ち寄ったシャツやTシャツに、出会いの思いを込めて即興で絵を描くというライブ・パフォーマンスです。タンスの隅に埋もれていた何の変哲もない服や布が、世界でひとつしかない衣に生まれ変わる様子に参加者も大満足の様子でした。
向井昌子さんの絵画展は11月3日まで、好評開催中！ 「ふくふくペインティング」は、11月23日のシドッティ上陸記念祭でも開催される予定です。
Shoko Mukai, whose exhibition Drops of Life is currently on view in the museum's café gallery, has been holding "Fuku-Fuku Painting" sessions in a corner of Sidotti Plaza, beneath the Norfolk Island pine where a pleasant breeze always blows. The sessions came to a close on October 10. In this live performance, Ms. Mukai paints directly onto shirts and T-shirts brought in by participants, improvising designs inspired by each encounter. Ordinary clothes and fabric that had been forgotten at the back of the closet were reborn as one-of-a-kind garments, and participants were thrilled with the results.
Shoko Mukai's painting exhibition continues until November 3. "Fuku-Fuku Painting" will also be held again at the Sidotti Landing Commemoration Festival on November 23.
